in the beginning there was original man.. original man had a drum.. that drum was not only an instrument, but a tool for communication.. that drum talked for many miles and like a heartbeat maintained the souls of tribes for milleniums.... centuries after our drums were taken away, the heartbeat kept its rhythm and that rhythem alone sparked light on what was next to come... from a music that started its way from the tribal drum and griot, metamorphisized into many forms of music created by the minds and soul of black men and women...... from jazz to blues to soul to rock to funk to spoken word to HIP HOP
